Exciting Chocolatey Collab News!
Who’s running out of ideas to keep the clan entertained this Easter? Hang in there – we can help (and yes, there’s even chocolate involved!)
It’s officially the Week of Chocolate, right? So why not make the most of it AND get your steps in while you’re at it. Here at Dwell Devon, we love a collab, so we were excited to hear of one involving two of our faves.
Teignmouth’s gorgeous artist, illustrator and author Laura Wall has put her colourful gallery on the map by becoming a South West Coast Path Association Way Maker. So, that means if you’re walking this section of the 630-mile Coast Path, and have an official passport (we love this!), you can now pop into the gallery and get it stamped. Plus, (and it’s a big plus for persuading the kids off their phones and outside), you can get your hands on a beautiful bar of chocolate while you’re there.
We say beautiful and we really mean it, because, Laura being Laura, she’s penned the loveliest Coast Path-inspired illustration to adorn the packaging of this limited run of choccy bars. In her signature style, it’s a proper keepsake.
If you’re not yet familiar with Laura by the way, her gallery near the seaside in Teignmouth is such a happy place to come and browse, showcasing her array of locally inspired illustrations, both in the traditional form and across homewares, food and drink, stationery and books. And you might meet Laura and her husband Dave too, who are chuffed to bits to be able to stamp those passports, since they love hiking the coast path themselves.
So, up you get, out you go. Make the most of the Spring and show your support for this brilliant local artist. And, might we also give you the heads up - this is your chance to get ahead of the crowds, before the highly anticipated release of the film, The Salt Path. We have a feeling this one’s going to make our already iconic South West Coast Path the place to stomp this summer.
