Is anyone else just feeling a bit over the colour grey lately?
Very possibly influenced by the time of year and seemingly endless shades of it in our gloomy skies, whatever the reason, we’re stalking all the cheer we can get and that includes in our homes.
Which is why we felt a little flutter of happiness when we recently discovered Devon designer and illustrator Amanda West’s stunning home accessories. Fresh, modern and full of life, if you covet unique designs that mix vibrant colours and nature, you might want to take a little peek at her latest collection, too.
From student, to star of the show…
It was in 2018, while finishing up her BA in Illustration at Arts University Plymouth, that Amanda started creating the designs that would eventually become the core of her homeware and fashion accessories collection. Fast forward just six months after graduating, when her work was chosen to be featured at “Spotted” at Top Drawer London— a spotlight event for emerging designers. And just like that, Amanda’s business was born!
Creative Fusion: Colour, Texture, and Pattern.
A look at her collection and you can understand the speedy creative ascent. Amanda’s dramatic designs are inspired by the beauty of Devon’s coast and countryside and her unique blend of Singaporean and English heritage (hello, Maximalism!)
Frankly, the array of eye-catching home accessories on offer left us spoilt for choice. You can grab everything from lampshades to cushions, runners and prints, so you can go as subtle or statement as you like.
Each handmade piece from Amanda’s collections is made from top-notch textiles sourced from sustainable UK manufacturers. Fabulous texture is also notable in her creative process (beautifully intricate illustrations are Amanda’s forte). Paired with luxurious, tactile fabrics, these products are truly one-of-a-kind.

In 2022, Amanda took a massive leap by launching her first wallpaper collection, which showcased an impressive blend of bold Asian textiles with the timeless sophistication of English design.
